Lectures: Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30pm to 4:55pm in the Library building, room E4310.

Textbook:
Excursions in modern mathematics, 8th Edition, Peter Tannenbaum.
As this is an accelerated course, it is strongly recommended that you actively read the textbook before each lecture.

Grading:
Midterm (June 15th): 35%,
Final Exam (July 6th): 40%,
Weekly Homework: 25%.
Homework questions picked from the book will be posted weekly in the homework tab of this webpage. Discussing the homeworks with your classmates is of course encouraged but every student has to hand in their own copy. You are required to formulate your solutions individually, even if you solved a problem as a group.
