- This is the webpage for MAT200.Lec2. The first few lectures will be joint with MAT250. After the first midterm is graded, we will make recommendations on who should stay in MAT200 and who should move up to MAT250. Those recommendations will be based on your performance on the first midterm and the homework to that date.

- Prerquisits: Level 4 on the mathematics placement examination or equivalent course or permission of the instructor
- Description:
A basic course in the logic of mathematics, the construction of proofs and the writing of proofs. The mathematical content is primarily logic and proofs, set theory, combinatorics, functions and relations. There is considerable focus on writing. May not be taken for credit in addition to MAT 250.
- Textbook: An Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning: Numbers, Sets and Functions by Peter Eccles
- READ THE BOOK. You are fully expected to read and understand the book as we go along.
- Homework
will be updated weekly. The homework page also contans the
week-by-week Syllabus.
