Midterm Creative Project (1% of course grade)
For the midterm project, you’ll create something that explains an idea related to the history of mathematics—either something you learned in class or something connected to your paper or presentation topic—to someone outside the course.
You can use any of the following formats: a poster, infographic, short video, comic, poem, or audio clip. If you’d like to use a different format, just ask.
Your project must show effort, make sense to a general audience, and clearly connect to the idea you chose.
You may work alone or in pairs. Submit a 2–3 sentence proposal by Week 5, including the idea you are explaining, your teammate (if applicable), and your chosen format. I’ll give you feedback or approval soon after. The final project is due in Week 7.
This assignment is graded simply: done or not done. It is worth 1% of the course grade. If working in pairs, both students will receive the same grade.
Most of all—have fun with it!
