MAT 550: Real Analysis II

This is a second core course in real
analysis, a continuation of MAT 544.

ordered from the campus bookstore); Walter
Rudin, Real and complex
analysis, 3rd ed McGraw-Hill, 1987.
- Howework & Exams: Homework will be posted weekly on
with problems varying from routine to more challenging. The homework is
due one week after
being assigned. In the latest edition of Geller's book there is a
uniform numbering of theorems, propositions and exercises, while in
the edition that I am using for the homework the same exercises are
There will be a midterm exam and a
final exam on Wednesday, May 18,
2:15-4:45 in Physics P-124.
Course grade will be based on the homework, midterm
and final exams, weighted as follows: Homework 30% + Midterm 30% +
Final exam 40%.
