Jimmy Buffet dies and is mourned. Eric Compton, Member Emeritus of the College, has been sending a series of postcards from dives and roadhouses across America. A month after Jimmy Buffet's death, after two or three strange cards talking about the Eye Biting Man and the Aztec Highway Gods, the cards stop with a reference to Herodotus and a quote from Jimmy Buffet. The PCs have to investigate the rumors of the False Pirate King.

Street Kids have been dissapearing.

This is because Selinians , holdovers from the Secret Civil War, have found the pineal gland of William Thatch, AKA Blackbeard. The Pineal Gland, as Aristotle knew, houses the soul. With this relic, they have been turning the homeless children into xombi soldiers, amassing an army of what look like desicated bonobos in the swamps outside Miami. It is unclear which side they have chosen in the War for Miami's Soul. Bloody Mary, who preys on the Miami children, is outraged and has been hunting far afield.

TIC notice the dissapearance of Street Children as far away as New Orleans, and go down to Miami to Set Things Right.

Skinny Hector gets word to Jesse Truant that Lemurians are in the city, trying to retrieve their seed crystal to continue their sinister mind control project. The Invisible College must find the crystal and destroy it. (Whether or not there are actual lemurians, or whether the Invisible College is just breaking a big glass ball, is up to staff)

There is something of a subculture, a miniature arena of the ascennsion war, being fought on eBay's pages. Virtual Adepts hack the oracle database to compete with Syndicate bids. The Union shuts down certain auctions when they recognize the item's significance. Those 'sell your soul/alaska/30 children' auctions are mystic rituals. Ritual offers.

Compton gets excited because the Gene Autry Museum is closing and auctioning its displays off on eBay. Compton has a bid in on Jesse James' pistol. The auction is shut down suddenly and suspiciously. Compton claims that the Men in White found out and put the orders out, but the MiB didn't get the order, so they just called the FBI, and so it wasn't the most subtle thing. Some investigation proves that the bible was being sold from a local ISP. The TIC must investigate the mysterious auction's closure, and try to get their paws on Jesse James' own six-gun, which must be a magical artifact by now, right?

Pobble, having the Lord of Hosts trapped inside his head (although currently it has been replaced with an 'On Loan' vhs tag while the Deity resides with Penny), is privvy to all kinds of inside information. It is through this bizarre channel that the Colledge learns about a link to what could possibly be a shard of one of the slabs of the original Ten Commandments.

Unfortunately the shard's exact whereabouts are only known by an unwitting scion currently being tortured for the priviledge by a fiendish cult of Nephandi goons. The only way to get close enough to the leader is going to be via infiltration of the cult, which hides amidst the congregation of a backwater Baptist Church.
