Fall 2008 MAT 540 Intemediate Algebraic Topology

Topology 540 will start in mid September on Fridays from 12:50 to 3:00. We will study a new geometric approach to homology based on Euler cycles and homologies where intersections can be defined without transversality. This leads to structures in string topology related to classical knots.
