Textbook : Kiselev's Geometry (Book I, Planimetry), Sumizdat, El Cerrito, Calif., 2006.
The last part of the course is covered by the additional texts which will be available on the Black Board.
Midterm exam will be (changed) on March 25 (Tuesday), in class. It will cover Chapter I of Kiselev's Geometry and Viro's text Isometries. Among the problems there will be theorems with proofs from the following list. No books or notes are allowed on exams.

Course description: The course is devoted to Euclidean Geometry along the traditional approach focused on the features of the subject that develop logical skills and geometric imagination. Similar geometries in other classical spaces will be considered in the last part of the course.
Grading system: The final grade is the maximum of the Final exam grade and the weighted average according the following weights: homework 10%, in-class tests 15%, two midterms 20% each, Final 35%.
Homework: weekly assignments will be posted on Blackboard (https://blackboard.stonybrook.edu/). Homework will constitute a significant part of your course grade.
Homework 4 is due on 3/6.
By 3/4: Study sections 8, 9 and 10 in the textbook (i.e., subsections 51-69). Be prepared to present with a proof theorems from Section 8.
Homework 3 is due on 2/27.
By 2/25: Study sections 8, 9 and 10 in the textbook (i.e., subsections 51-69). Be prepared to present with a proof theorems from Section 8.
Homework 2 is due on 2/25.
Homework 1 is due on 2/13.
