Girl Power in STEM: Press for Progress! is a symposium to promote the participation and  celebrate the accomplishment of women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. Lecturers and panelists from academia, government and private sectors will discuss with the participants the impact of women in STEM careers and what each of us can do to improve women participation in STEM fields.

Parallel sessions will include professional development talks and discussions for up-and-coming and mid-career government in STEM fields as well as presentation of general interest. This last portion of the symposium is open to all public. Please select your track when registering.

This event is being held in celebration of the   International Women's Day, proclaimed as United Nations Day for women's rights.

This year the United Nation celebrates  International Women's Day  with the theme Press for Progress!, "a strong call to motivate and unite friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive."
