In this course we analyze problems and explore supplementary topics related to the core courses in the Professional M.A. Option. We focus on preparation for the doctoral comprehensive examination.

Syllabus: Solving problems from past comprehensive exams, problems from Algebra I and II, problems from Geometry/Topology I and II, problems from Real Analysis I and II, and problems from Complex Analysis I.

Grading: The grading will be based primarily on class participation and effort in solving problems. There will be no final exam, no rigid homework, and no required textbook.
