Course description: Introduction to the theory of linear algebra with some applications; vectors, vector spaces, bases and dimension, applications to geometry, linear transformations and rank, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, determinants and inner products. See Weakly Plan for details.

WebAssign homework will be assigned weekly in this course. Access to WebAssign is mandatory for this course.
WebAssign homework should be completed and submit online by 10 pm on Friday of the week following the posting of the assignment.

Most weeks there will also be one or two HW problems that should be submitted on paper and handed in during the lecture on Thursday of the week following the posting of the assignment. These "hand-in" problems will be posted here.
There will be two midterms (Sep 30 and Nov 11) and a final exam (Dec 14).
