Welcome to MAT 132: Calculus IITextbook: Calculus Volume 2, from OpenStax. We will also use Notes on Second Order Linear Differential Equations. Course description: A continuation of MAT 131, this course covers: symbolic and numeric methods of integration; area under a curve; volume; applications, such as work and probability; improper integrals and l'Hospital's rule; complex numbers; sequences; series; Taylor series; differential equations; and modeling. May not be taken for credit in addition to MAT 127, MAT 142, MAT 171, or AMS 161. See Weakly Plan for details. Midterm 1 will be Sep 27 (Lec 01) and Sep 28 (Lec 02) in class. Midterm 2 will be WebAssign in Testing Center, Frey Hall Room 109, between Nov 8 and Nov 17 during one of the recitations. Final Exam will be on Dec 9 in Engineering 143 (Lec 01) and in Engineering 145 (Lec 02) There will be practice problems before exams. See details here. |
