Time and place: 2:20-3:10 Humanities 318

I am hoping to change this to MF 2:20-3:30 in Math 5-127. We will meet in the Humanities building for the first class

This is intended to be a basic course on the theory of 2-dimensional quasiconformal mappings. For the first few weeks we will follow Ahlfors' book `` lectures on quasi conformal mappings'', and then look at more recent and more specialized sources (i.e., Douady and Earle's paper on quasiconformal extensions or my papers on biLipschitz homogeneous curves and Sullivan's convex hull theorem). By the end of the course I hope we can give a few applications, talk about recent results and state some open problems.
