  • Gregory Janks

A third-year graduate student in mathematics at the State University of New York, Stony Brook and the author/compiler of all the cool problems and much of the text for this web site, Janks was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa in a family that perpetuated a fine Eastern European tradition of intellectualism. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Mathematics in 1996 from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. His particular areas of interest in mathematics include dynamical systems and fractal geometry.
