Unfortunately, we did not receive a correct solution to this month's
problem. Although the first terms of the sequence seem to repeat with
period 16, the sequence is NOT periodic.

Consider the sequence *a*_{n}=2^{2n}.
Let *b*_{n} be the first digit of *a*_{n}.
Determine whether the sequence *b*_{n} is periodic.
