| We will discuss several aspects of the propagation of singularities in incompressible fluids. In particular, we will consider the dynamics of solutions to the 2d Euler equation with vorticity that jumps or is unbounded at a point. Depending on the precise nature of the singularity, we will see that it can propagate smoothly, continuously or suddenly degenerate, or even split into multiple singularities. | |
