| The Looijenga-Lunts-Verbitsky Lie algebra effectively controls the total cohomology of a hyper-Kähler variety in terms of its second cohomology. I will discuss two applications of the LLV algebra, one concerning the topology and Hodge theory of Lagrangian fibrations (joint work with Andrew Harder, Zhiyuan Li, and Junliang Shen), the other about conjectures of Beauville and Voisin on the Chow ring of hyper-Kähler varieties (joint with Andrei Neguț and Georg Oberdieck). | |
