Title: Gap Theorem Results in Yang--Mills Theory
Speaker: Casey Kelleher, Princeton University
Location: Online
Abstract:
We discuss results concerning the space of Yang--Mills connections on vector bundles over compact 4 dimensional Riemannian manifolds. In particular, we discuss a conformally invariant gap theorem for Yang-Mills connections obtained by exploiting an associated Yamabe-type problem. We also discuss a bound for the index in terms of its energy which is conformally invariant, which captures the sharp growth rate. This is joint work with M. Gursky and J. Streets.
